Our goal is to provide the opportunity for young girls to bond with a horse.
We want her to be able to learn confidence, responsibility, and emotional maturity from this experience.
Many young girls do not have a way to fulfill their dream of learning to ride a horse.
This program will teach horsemanship and a chance to participate in the Cowboy Heritage of the West and its culture.
On July 7, 2025, Violet Mary Diane was born and on July 13 she went to be with Jesus. We believe that Violet would have been one of these horse girls because her momma, Roslan Fichtner-Marx, and her Mimi, Mary MacDougall Fichtner were both such girls. We also know that horses are one of God’s most beautiful creations because of the gifts they offer girls; so it is in Violet’s name and memory, The Violet Cowgirl Foundation, would like to offer 7 scholarships for girls between the ages of 7 and 12.
Honoring Violet by nurturing the horse-loving hearts of the next generation of cowgirls
